The raw vulnerability, honesty, and relatability of catholic artist and creator, Matt Melancon (aka, mattofficialstudios), has led him to writing some of the most poetic and thought provoking lyrics in independent music.

Returning to the scene with Rock ON All Night! in 2024, making several viral react videos, and creating podcasts like the mattofficialstudios show, mattofficialstudios reviews, and The MTE Archive, Matt has pushed himself over and over to make a positive difference in the world through God's grace with musical expression and content creation.

From professionally recorded spoken word music, to popular react videos, to YouTube Short clips, to instrumentals, to his own independent podcasts - young singer-songwriter, artist, and YouTuber Matt Melancon (aka, mattofficialstudios) has done a little bit of everything.  Returning to the scene with his single, “Rock ON All Night!” and his viral reaction for NF's music video of “HOPE,” Matt Melancon uses his devout catholic faith and work ethic inherited from his dad to strive to make a positive difference in the world through God's grace.

He's taken inspiration from multiple artists, such as OneRepublic, NateWantsToBattle, Owl City, Michael Buble, NF, Tommee Profitt, Imagine Dragons, Matt Maher, Phil Wickham, Taylor Swift, etc., and even from artists like Gavin Magnus, Knox Hill, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, and Billie Eilish, who even though he can't endorse all of the elements of their work, he's nonetheless still found a measure of inspiration and goodness in them.

“Music has been a part of my life since the very beginning.

I remember dancing to The Wiggles (An Australian kids’ group) every day as a kid since I was 3 years old, and I always had a natural talent for singing and dancing.

It wasn’t until early 2020 when I really picked up an insatiable, irresistible love and passion for music and hip-hop.  I wrote at least 10 songs in that year alone for an album I’d called 'Confessions & Emotions,' which I imagined as my debut album.

Since I’ve been recording narrative versions of my lyrics, I’ve been going through every single one of my songs, one by one, to record spoken word versions of all my poetry to share with the world.

Some people resort to music, by writing or listening, as a way to find healing in their suffering and to cope with any uncomfortable or anxious moments they go through in life.  Others use it as a way to give thanks and praise to God for all they’ve been blessed with and to promote a positive, hopeful, virtuous attitude.  I’ve done my best to blend the two.

I *LOVE* using poetry and song-writing as a way to connect with people on a deeper level and to share more serious, cutting-edge messages that I believe are important and need to be heard, even if many people aren't ready for them.

My job is all about making content and music that helps at least 1 person out there.  I don’t need to go trending, I don’t need to go viral, I don’t need popularity, money, fame, or wealth.  You can keep all of that.  If what I love to do helps or has helped at least 1 person out there in some way or another, then mission completed.
